Brother Andre’s Cafe

A ministry of Move a Mountain Missions, Brother Andre’s is a cafe that provides employment opportunities for adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and seeks to share their joy and love with the world. The goal of Brother Andre’s is not only to serve the best cappuccino in the city (which we do), but to create a culture of radical and genuine inclusivity that recognizes the incredible dignity of people with IDD and everyone else who walks through the doors of the cafe.

Flowing from our experience at Mustard Seed, we were praying for an avenue to share the love of people with IDD. We need them much more than they need us!”
— Father Christopher Donley, Co-Founder Move A Mountain Missions

Mustard Seed Communities

Society has already abandoned them once, we have to make sure that no child is ever abandoned twice.
— Monsignor Gregory Ramkissoon, Founder of Mustard Seed Communities

Mustard Seed Communities is a home for abandoned children with disabilities based in Kingston, Jamaica. Mustard Seed began in 1978 as a home for a handful of children with disabilities who had been abandoned to the streets of Jamaica. Today, MSC provides loving and lifelong care to over 600 children and adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV, and young mothers in crisis across Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. MSC manages sustainable agriculture initiatives and provides education, nutrition, and skills training programs in order to improve the economic, social, and spiritual conditions within marginalized communities.

Prior to the pandemic, Move A Mountain Missions were organizing multiple mission trips to Mustard Seed each year. In 2020, we were slated to have over 100 missionaries go to Jamaica. As international travel slowly starts to open up, we look forward to revamping our mission program and coming back even stronger than before!
