"My eyes were opened up to the eternal love and protection that God pours out to the children at Mustard Seed Communities and upon all of us.
Growing up in a Catholic family, I was always taught that Jesus loves me and He always watches over me. I believed this, and still do, but on Tuesday at Martha’s House, I truly experienced and saw God’s protection with my own eyes. A young boy named Nathan who I had been playing with, was the instrument God used to show me (and some of the other missionaries who saw this) such an amazing lesson. First off, Nathan loved to climb. Maybe I am reading to far into this, but this activity displayed to me the climb and ascent to heaven which must be sought with a child’s heart and innocence. Next, a very powerful message was revealed to me. On the playground, Nathan was just walking around and I had gone away for a moment to get a drink of water. As I was walking back to Nathan, I saw him trotting behind the swing set. At the same time there was a girl joyfully swinging high in the air. Nathan walked right behind her as she begin the back swing and it appeared that he was going to be kicked rather forcefully. However, by some diving work, Nathan’s head went between the girls legs on her way back and then again on her way forward. All I could do was stand in sheer awe of what I witnessed. Nathan continued on as if noting ever happened. Later that day during adoration, I reflected on what had occurred earlier in the day. My eyes were opened up to the eternal love and protection that God pours out to the children at Mustard Seed Communities and upon all of us.
