"We are all truly grateful to the Lord for blessing us with such a great priest and friend who is an example of what it means to follow God’s will unreservedly."
It is amazing how little things can go a long way. All of heaven held its breath before Mary’s lowly “fiat” and then rejoiced. In a similar way your continued “yes” to the Lord both as a pastor and friend brought peace and joy to the Mustard Seed mission team throughout the trip.
All of us who have had this amazing experience are so grateful for not only your support of the mission trip, but also taking the time and coming to Jamaica and spending the week in community with us and leading us in prayer. Your duties as a pastor may have caused your time on mission to be cut short. However the Lord blessed us with some solid time together. From giving blessings and celebrating mass to leading us in Eucharistic adoration and confession, you continued to serve us throughout the trip by offering us these encounters with Christ in the sacraments. It was awesome! The grace received from Christ in the sacraments is undoubtedly the source and fuel of our entire mission; I firmly believe it is this grace that leads our group to grow such a strong bond.
While serving us as a priest at the same time we were blessed to have you living in community with all of us. You were there with us interacting with the kids, painting walls, and playing soccer and most importantly never once dogged the boys. It was great hearing some of your personal stories and living in Christian fellowship with you and the residents at Mustard Seed. We are all truly grateful to the Lord for blessing us with such a great priest and friend who is an example of what it means to follow God’s will unreservedly. In short, what do we think about Father Chris? He’s alright!
