"I realized the blessings that were placed in my lap and just cried and listened to her praise our Lord. "
On Wednesday, our group headed to Jerusalem for a day with the residents. Before we did that, we had mass in their chapel. As mass went on more residents began to pour into the Church. Not only were they physically pouring into the Church, but with them they poured out the love of God. After Communion, a resident named Shanice called me over to pray with her so I did. In that moment I realized that nothing besides the love and trust in God mattered in that prayers. As if I wasn’t totally touched by that moment, after Mass Shanice was asked to sing for us She sang in front of the entire chapel and I began to cry out of love and gratitude. She was the happiest anyone could be and it filled my heart with so much eternal joy. I realized the blessings that were placed in my lap and just cried and listened to her praise our Lord.
