"That simple response filled me with joy which has really stuck with me."
My Jamaican Mission trip story happened at Jerusalem on Tuesday when we held a sports day for the residents. Before the games began one of the residents named Paul came up to me and hugged me. All he wanted to do was be carried even though he could run (fast). I stayed with him for the duration of the games and stuck with him the rest of our time there. The whole day I thought that he was unable to speak, but I was mistaken. When I dropped him off for his meal, his face lit up and he screamed BYE multiple times. That simple response filled me with joy which has really stuck with me.
